That's why all of our products are crafted from leather that is tanned exclusively with plant-based materials (no chrome or mixed tannage). The Handcrafted Difference
Each of our products is made entirely by hand in Michigan. We start by cutting straps of leather from a side of undyed, premium full-grain cowhide that has been tanned with plant-based material. Then, with an artisan's attention to detail, we use traditional tools and techniques to craft each piece to order, preserving unique features of the cowhide like wrinkles and scars. Before leaving our workshop, every product is burnished, conditioned, sealed, and buffed by hand, ensuring that it meets our rigorous standards for quality, strength, and durability.
